The experience and knowledge I have gained during my short time in the Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program has been remarkable. Each of the program’s dedicated professors provide students with the resources and encouragement needed to immediately begin serving the community. The opportunities I have been given to work with local nonprofits while in classes, in the form of volunteer work and service-learning projects, has not only inspired me to get involved in the community, but it has given me the skills and connections to do so.

After two semesters in the Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program, I was able to secure a position with Serve Denton launching a new program pertaining to cultural competency within the nonprofit sector. I feel so fortunate to be able to partake in the full formation of a nonprofit program prior to graduation. I am beyond appreciative to be in a college program that cares so much for each student. The experience has not only been inspiring but has irrevocably affirmed my career choice.
